Plover Organic: Stylish and Sustainable Bedding
Sheila Mulvihill and Marisa Kula Mercer were disappointed in the bedding options available to shoppers who wanted to go green, so they joined forces to create Plover Organic—a line of eco-friendly stylish and sustainable 100% cotton bedding that is block-printed by hand at a Fair Trade factory in India. Only low-impact, fiber-reactive and hydrogen peroxide bleach are used, and the buttons on the duvets and shams are made from recycled plastic. The collection features nature and geometric inspired graphics in black and white and spring-flavored tones that include soft greenish blue, pale yellow, and grass-colored green. The prints are meant to mix-and-match, and will be updated seasonally.
